Church of the Transfiguration, one of the oldest remaining establishments in Evergreen, is located south of the intersection of Highway 74 and Meadow Drive. The meadow and its labyrinth are east of the church parking lot. The Church is extremely fortunate to still have the original Bancroft farmhouse and meadow as part of its campus.
During the summer months of June through September, Sunday Service is held in the meadow on the second Sunday of the month at 9:30 a.m. followed by a parish potluck.
In addition to worship services, Bancroft Meadow is also a top spot in Evergreen to have a wedding as well as outdoor concerts.
Please note: In the past, we have allowed visitors to bring their dogs into the Meadow so that they can frolic and play in the creek and meadow. Recently, we have experienced a high increase in foot traffic, trash and dog waste not being picked up. Those issues, coupled with the lack of moisture, has caused the grass in the meadow to disappear. Therefore, we have closed the meadow to our canine friends and ask that an extra effort be made to clean up trash. Please kindly refrain from bringing dogs into the meadow until further notice. Thanks for keeping Evergreen beautiful!!
