About our Church
The Church of the Transfiguration is a historic church and wedding location in Evergreen, Colorado, located 35 minutes from downtown Denver. This rustic venue offers an authentic church wedding experience with beautiful and rich décor. Many of Evergreen’s treasured historic landmarks, including the bell tower, are still in use by this active congregation. Buildings surrounding the venue date back to the 1860’s, many of which have been restored. Celebrate your union with up to 150 of your family and friends with an indoor wedding within the Church of the Transfiguration. Ring the historic church bell to announce your union to your guests and the entire town of Evergreen!
About our Chapel
One of the original buildings in Evergreen, the Chapel of St. Joseph and St. Mary is the perfect setting for an intimate ceremony, seating up to 25 guests. The chapel dates back to the early 1900's and was designed by Jock Spence, Evergreen's renowned architect. It features the original wooden interior walls and wooden pews. Antique carved figurines add a sacred touch throughout the building. There is an ambiance of warmth and simplicity that is created by delicate stained glass windows.
About our Meadow
The beautiful mountain landscape in Evergreen, Colorado serves as the backdrop for this venue’s outdoor weddings. Booking the Facility
• Contact the office at (303) 674-4904 ext. 10 or by email at office@church-transfig.net to check availability.
• Schedule a tour. • For weddings larger than 30 people, we recommend that you contact Anna Schmidt to handle your wedding details. • Review and sign the contract.
• Confirm the date and time for both the rehearsal and the wedding.
• Provide the required deposit to hold your date.
• One month prior to the wedding, meet with the wedding coordinator to confirm set up and delivery schedule.
About the Clergy
At the Church of the Transfiguration, wedding parties are more than welcome to provide their own clergy.
If you would prefer to use our priest, Father Michael will be happy to assist you. Weddings conducted by our priest are flexible enough to allow for your individual requests.
